Hi, I’m Ruth. My love affair with languages began long before my career and has flourished beautifully on the Sunshine Coast beaches.

I’m the translator behind austogerman translations. My language journey has taken me across three countries, two languages, and countless projects where the right words made all the difference.

Before becoming a translator, I spent 25 years in business management across Hamburg, London and Queensland. Even then, I often became the go-to person when communication needed a cultural bridge. Those experiences showed me just how powerful the right words can be: they strengthen relationships, open doors, and create genuine understanding across cultures.

That led me to formalise my skills with the NAATI certification in 2009. From the Sunshine Coast, I translate between English and German – precise, confident and culturally sensitive.

I work with clients from a variety of sectors including business, government, health and aged care, and marketing. Each sector has its own voice and conventions, and it’s this diversity that I find particularly rewarding.
